“Slap Funk” is a leisurely, relaxed, unobtrusive but rhythmic background soundtrack. Based on a funky beat and filled with groovy syncopated rhytm, this track uses funky muted guitars and wah-wah guitar effects; basslines are played on an electric bass guitar using percussive slapping technique with rhythmic ghost notes and glissando effects; the horn (trumpet) section plays counterpoint phrases that emphasize the rhythm and synthetic “strings” are used as a background. The music is unhurried but optimistic, it makes listeners feel good, relaxed and comfortable, it will make a perfect supermarket background muzak, or it can be used in all kinds of videos that require retro vintage funky background.
