Howdy. I’m Adam McArthur, a 17 year old Ruby developer from Melbourne, Australia.
I’ve been hacking around in Ruby since I was about 16, and recently I have become an active contributor to open source projects. These days you’ll usually catch me starting arguments in the Rails IRC channel, engaging in cool questions on stack overflow or pushing out crazy gems that probably don’t work that well.
I seem to enjoy front end development, however I’ve never considered myself as much of an designer. Instead, I’ve been diving deep into Sinatra – which has sparked a new-found passion for creating the classy backends that make robust web applications feel awesome.
I’m currently in my final year of high school, my favourite subject being Accounting. In the little spare time I have you’ll find me enjoying a hit of golf, kicking the footy or annoying my followers on twitter. Cross country running is also a sport I train for.
