Inspired by The Beatles and Damien Rice this melancholic yet hopeful song brings together pop music from the 60’s and modern acoustic folk music. The Truth features vocals, acoustic as well as electric guitar, piano, bass and drums.

Although The Truth above all is about melody, here’s a brief background to the drums on this track. Being mainly a drummer myself I wanted to make something more interesting than a 4/4 beat. One of my biggest influences as a drummer has always been Ringo Starr from The Beatles who had the incredible creativity to come up with a new kind of drum beat for nearly every song they made. So instead of starting off with a drum beat I wrote the whole song and only then added the drums as I saw fit, which in my oppinion made the drums support the other instruments and the melody of the vocals in a much better way.

This song would fit perfectly for commersials, TV-shows, corporate projects, movie trailers, timelapses, radio, presentations, promotions, films, games, youtube videos.

Lyrics:

Are you ready for the truth Are you ready for these words that I have kept inside for too long Are you ready for the truth I’ve gotta say this now Got to let it out

Here we go I’m falling for you, falling for you Let me know I’m losing control, losing, losing

I’m not ready for the truth I’m not ready to say this to your face and see how you react Not ready for the truth So I put it in a song that you might not even hear

We go I’m falling for you, well maybe you knew Let me know I’m losing control, losing, losing

Here we go I’ve fallen for you, out of the blue Let me know I’m losing control, losing, losing
