‘Post War Emotive’ (Tribute To The Fallen’) is a classical piece of music that pays musical homage to a genre of music normally used in films depicting war or battle. The piece also references ‘The Last Post’ using various horn sections to do so. As an overview, the piece takes the listener on a journey through the anticipation of battle and the high morale that troops feel, to the sadness and darkness that battle and death brings. The piece concludes however with a return to the original melody and chord sequence, highlighting the importance of the task in the first place.
