Beethoven is widely considered one of the greatest composers of all time, an amazing feat considering he wrote a lot of his work while partially (or totally) deaf. Moonlight Sonata is quiet and delicate, with a dreamlike feel, originally titled “Almost a Fantasy”. It is also the focus of some debate between modern pianists over how to play it with the pedals.
