Sound of khakkhara – a cane used by a priest or an ascetic Buddhist monk. The sound of this cane is a regular sound in Japanese horror films. Even in Japanese horror films that do not feature Buddhism or Buddhist monks, this sound with reverberation is often used for scene changes.
