Fjord is a soft, minimal piano piece with a swelling accompaniment of vast ambient synths and breath-like soundscapes. The euphoric ambient synths are post rock influenced and create a shimmering sense of warmth and hope. These are blended with fluttering strings that add texture and life to the atmosphere.
The piano itself is a thick and warm felted piano sound which makes it feel very soft and intimate – perfect for playing this simple but emotional melody. The piece builds very slowly and subtly but eventually reaches a high point where we are enveloped by the deep wash of the soundscape.
