A Sore Thumb Blues.
This is a fast fingerstyle acoustic guitar piece in the style of master fingerpickers Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins. It is basically two rounds of a 12-bar blues with a spiced up turnaround.
It is played on one guitar only with the thumb playing the boom-chick bass notes, hence the name ”A Sore Thumb Blues”.
Fits a kids / children’s production, a cartoon / animation or anything humorous or having to do with the wild west. Also fits something quirky corporate.
In the style of vintage jazz music like Scott Joplin or old Disney cartoons / Mickey Mouse music. Also similar to the wonderful music used in the video game Cuphead, written by Kristofer Maddigan.
