Epic Progressive Rock

Epic Progressive Rock

Combining elements of numerous stadium-filling rock bands, this rock instrumental is difficult to classify. It has the dark sombre string arrangements you might link to Smashing Pumpkins `Disarm’, the epic guitar solo similar to Pink Floyd’s `Comfortably Numb’, and the sinister brooding guitar riffs of Nirvana’s `Come As You Are’. Ultimately this is a hard rock or prog rock style, with hints of Metallica (heavy metal), Soundgarden (grunge), Explosions In The Sky (post rock), Faith No More, Evanescence, Muse, Creed, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin (Kashmir).

The final minute changes gear, as the heavy guitar riffs fall away to a simple piano arrangement which gradually rebuilds in an epic flurry of soaring guitar solos, strings, gorgeous backing vocals, and pounding inspirational drum beats.

The download includes a .wav file and a .mp3 file.
