The sound effect of slowly degrading dirty tape loops is combined with bass drones and synth brass and pads, echoey balafon, 80’s drum kits, ethereal female background vocals. Much influenced by Warp Records, and particularly Boards of Canada, and their evocative use of tape machines, cut up samples, and fascination with old public information films.
After a gentle build, a bass drop and hit brings us into a strong and cinematic sounding main theme.
Perfect as an experimental and ambient sounding background for art installations and exhibitions, and particularly for student films, indy films, advertising etc, and especially for projects where a 1970s or 1980’s feel is required, or for subjects emulating old VHS video, synthwave etc.
