This is the sound of a small retaining spring inside of a 9V battery compartment being plucked. The sound was captured using a condenser microphone, situated approximately six inches from the spring. When plucked, the spring produces a metallic buzz with a sharp attack and abrupt decay. This sound may be suitable for a wide variety of mechanical or cartoon effects.
