Listen, if you make your full tracks different in length from the low res previews we will stop using your service. How are we expected to seamlessly replace hi-resolution tracks in editing software when the duration of the track is different? We can’t instead, we have to place the new audio file in the editor and re-edit it to suit. On what planet did you come up with the idea of merging all the ‘versions’ into one download? If I place a preview of a 1min track and then the licensed track is 4mins in total we have to STOP prepping for export and go back to the timeline just to figure it out. This is likely the last file we are purchasing from you.
Hi, mate! I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience that you experience.
However, there is no difference between the versions in the preview and the hi-res tracks included in the .zip archive. The watermarked preview file includes all the versions available in the package. The list of all the versions can be always found in the track description.
Unfortunately, the authors can not upload separate previews for each version. That’s why all the versions are merged into one preview file – that is not author’s decision, that’s Audiojungle policy and interface.
But there is good news too! You can always contact me and ask for any changes or additional files. For example, if you need separate preview files – i can make and add them to your purchase, so you can download them and use in your project. I can also make some extra versions up to your needs. Feel free to contact me for further assistance !
There most certainly is a difference. The preview version is 4:30. We bring it on to the timeline, do an edit to get the music to fit the video duration and send the video to our client to review. They approve the music in the edit (not separately because they lack any creativity whatsoever). Once approved, we download the hi res versions to “replace the preview” and boom… suddenly I have 4 versions that are all shorter than the preview we used to create our custom edit. The only way to use the hi res file now is to edit it to suit AGAIN and doing this twice in a production environment is NOT acceptable, we are way too busy for this. I’m going crazy with this again today with 10 new videos – all with edited previews. All you and audiojungle needed to do is provide the preview version in hi res AT THE SAME DURATION with the rest of the package. We haven’t found an alternative to this nonsense site yet probably because we’re too busy redoing our music edits. Sorry to rant at you, the author, it seems pretty pointless I must admit.
Well, i am afraid the problem does not depend on the exact marketplace, as the purpose of the preview is to show off all the available versions. All the sites that I know offer the same service. Please note the important point : the preview is not a separate version, it is a mixdown of all the versions in a row.
But there are still several good ways to avoid this trouble for you!
1. The first and the easiest one is as follows: try to purchase the items with one version only. In this case the HD WAV file will be the same as in the preview. You can find out how many versions the track has by checking its description. For example, this piece has one version only :
https://audiojungle.net/item/percussion/19482664and this one has 4 of them, all listed in the description:
https://audiojungle.net/item/the-drums/21215001You can also distinguish the number of versions by looking at the preview image. The versions are traditionally divided by several seconds of silence, like this:
https://pp.userapi.com/c841121/v841121592/5ca44/1u0mP9TeATA.jpgand this one stands for one version only:
https://pp.userapi.com/c841121/v841121592/5ca56/zim6_L6DeH0.jpg2. If there are no suitable tracks with one version only, or you like the particular one that has several versions – you can always contact the author and ask him to make an HD track exactly as the preview. Most authors will make it fast and for free, it’s not difficult. At least for me it will not be a problem and I won’t charge you more than you have already paid for the track. If the author says the opposite – avoid him and email me
Hope that I could help you and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any other unresolved quiestions!
