Musical Me - TLDR Maybe But Go On And Read
Composing music has been one of my passions since 1993. Before that I had played around with Deluxe Music on Amiga500, but music became a serious hobby when I was introduced to the Demo Scene and the world of trackers.
First came Mod Tracker (4ch) and then my mind was blown away by Fast Tracker which was my favorite tool for almost a decade. For some reason I skipped Scream Tracker and Impulse Tracker. Some of you may recognize these legends.
Hobby, what a word for something so serious as music is to so many. I’ve never thought that music would be my primary source of income but still, I’ve been reaching for achievements every now and then. Some success has come by even. Occasional wins of online competitions, some precious coin for a freshman student from MP3.com while it was still THE place for indie music. And, what was a dream come true back then, one (monotonic and boring techno) track got picked up for some playtime in local clubs.
In the late 90’s I was happy to be a part of a soundtrack of an Image-Line game Eat This. It was cool, believe me, even though the game didn’t sell very well. Wonder why the Image Line guys changed their focus from games to DAWs, or “Music Production Systems” as they say. Yes, FL Studio.
Now, 2012, after a decade of very quiet (producing-wise) time I’ve found my enthusiasm again. Hope you like what comes out of it and will enjoy using my portfolio items in your own projects.
