Storytelling Through Music
Film composer Patrick A. Thompson lives in Dallas, Texas. He composed his first work on piano at around eight years old. He performed an excerpt from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony on the Queen Mother’s Grand piano in Glamis Castle in Scotland at an equally young age. Music has been a driving force in his life ever since his father would sing to him before bedtime.
For several years, Patrick performed and helped produce musical theater productions for several theme parks around the United States. As his passion for live theater grew, so did his talent for storytelling. This is what sets him apart from most composers. In any scoring venture, Patrick seeks to actively and emotionally engage the audience under the Director’s guidance. Film music is never supposed to be a passive force, but rather a subliminal voice which continually deepens and supports the Director’s emotional vision.
Though it’s certainly not required, feel free to drop me a note to tell me how and where you’re using my tracks. It is very rewarding for me to see my music inside someone’s work. Thank you!For more information and demos, please visit www.PatrickAThompson.com
