Vivaldi Flute Concerto no. 1 - Allegro

Vivaldi Flute Concerto no. 1 - Allegro

The first movement – Allegro – of Antonio Vivaldi’s Flute Concerto no. 1 in F major (RV 433), featuring an alto recorder as the soloist, supported by a small chamber ensemble of strings and harpsichord.

Also known as “La tempesta di mare” (The Storm at Sea), it is a very bright, lively piece; full of the delightful wit and charm often found in baroque music.

This first movement kicks things off with a brisk, energetic Allegro.

The third movement can be found here.
