This Tibetan singing bowl is played by the friction of rubbing rubber mallet around the rim of the bowl to emphasize the harmonic overtones and a continuous ‘singing’ sound. This 10 inch bowl is in the key of D, which represents the color orange and is the 2nd root of the chakra system. Orange increases access to prana by clearing energy paths. It gives us motivation and vitality. This color stimulates and awakens the creative force and helps us focus on our goals. It magnetizes harmonious thoughts. Orange enhances attunement with the inner self, self-support. It grounds energy into the physical, and awakens the creative force.
Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. They create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul.
