A fun, rock adaptation of Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King” with a retro 60’s Bary Gray feel to it. The music starts with a driving brass and bass accompaniment over a rock beat. Pizzicato strings play the theme first before strings and brass are added alternatively. The music builds up to a pounding orchestral crescendo with added choir, woodwind and cymbal crashes while still retaining the driving rock rhythm. This is a fun rock piece that would be perfect for animations and children’s programs.
