Plump not plum. A hippo in a tutu is what comes to my mind when I hear this tune. It is intended to be a comedic piece. The tempo fluctuates a little in order to give it that hap-hazzard, out of control feeling. Tuba and timpani really aid in making this funny. Bells and piano cover the melody.
