Mussorgsky Tuileries

Mussorgsky Tuileries

Music Description

Pictures at an Exhibition (Pictures from an Exhibition – A Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann; French: Tableaux d’une exposition) is a suite in ten movements (plus a recurring, varied Promenade) composed for piano by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky in 1874.

The piece depicts an avenue in the Jardin des Tuileries, a garden near the Louvre in Paris with children playing. The piece adds a playful mood to a scene, and is also great for any French-themed projects.
