A suspenseful piece for strings in the Bernard Herrmann style. A feeling of momentum is created at first while the second part is stiller and more suspenseful as high strings suspend over pizzicato arpeggios. I wrote this with a specific scene in mind…In a Film-Noir movie, a detective follows a suspect by car and then enters a house after him, where he is uncertain what he will find.
