Inspiring and Contemplative Hip Hop

Inspiring and Contemplative Hip Hop

This song looks back on the past of the artist and how he has made it to where he is now based on his journey. The inspirational verses switch flows just enough to keep the listeners on their toes. This track will work great as background music for movies, tv shows, and video games. Sounds like Outkast, Drake, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler the Creator.

Lyrics:

Ooooh, what do you know? I’ve still got soooo so far to goooo. Look down the rooooooad, been here befoooo. Time goes by fast and then it’s sloooow. Just got to hoooold on to ya soooul, There will be those who want it for they ooooown. Hold up ya nooose, watch for your foes, Stay on ya toooes, and never cease to grooow.

....spent about a decade trying to rap lines, ....to get my family first class on airlines. ....Saturday mornings getting my hair lined, ....30,000 feet up givin errybody air fives. Came up from my previous position, without being convicted of a crime never committed. It’s hard out when you want the success, shooting for the top always end up second best, giving up on your dreams just makes things worse, not just for you but friends family hurt, gotta change yourself from the man you were, look in the mirror don’t micromanage first, so many times that I opened a can of worms, being hardheaded is one of things I cannot learn, badge for making good decisions I cannot earn, college crush is the one memory I cannot burn…...and I am not sure….if the woman that I loved even cares I’m her (get it?), in these bars I just cannot curse…..but it’s difficult knowing what I must have….I guess somethings lost just don’t wanna come back.

Now the world and I..are even. All the bad luck and sacrifices for..achievement. Glad God didn’t make this life I live, convenient. The journey makes the man that’s something I, believe in. Hardships and bustin ya tail to further fail, all for nights that are sleepless, poor quality of life for something much more decent, craved family time more frequent, how many moments fell victim to the money chasing sequence, from rags to riches but still holes in my britches, the journey’s somewhat a sickness that’s really hard to fix, and it’s what makes us different but still the same, stayin in ya lane’s difficult in rush hour traffic, but we goin to the same place that ain’t goin nowhere, whether LAX, Laguardia, or O’Hare, this life is no fair, there’s always something better depending on your perspective that’s the most important lesson.
