These are the sounds of a grinding stone mechanism.
The sounds were recorded (non-synthesized) in a small room, with a highly sensitive shotgun microphone. In the post process the recorded sounds were merged, and some slight mastering was done to provide the finishing touch. You will get seven separate files, with five of them being the full sound in different lengths. The two other files are a loop version of the grinding sound and an impact sound that can be used to end the loop. This gives you the possibility to create individual lengths of the full sound. Volume peaks in my sound files are never hard-limited (this means, that they are not cut off), so that you can implement them dynamically as desired. File formats in this package: WAV & MP3*.
Example scene: At the end of the dark hallway inside of the king’s catacombs, we found a salient brick in one of the stone walls. We looked at each other with euphoria and instantly knew what to do. “It is a switch!” Said Tristan and pushed the brick into the wall. We heard the walls moving… Free your imagination. This could be the right sound in your adventure film or in a roleplaying game.

- A looped version of the sound is only included as a WAV file, because of technical restrictions of the MP3 file format. MP3 conversion always puts a short delay at the beginning of the file, which will break the loop with every repetition of the sound.
