A lively Jig dance in 6/8 with multiple sections and textures. The music starts with a solo violin playing a Celtic melody over a Bagpipe Style accompaniment (played on Kelhorn, Piano and Strings over Toms and a Bass Drum). There is some interplay between the solo violin and strings before an Irish Flute joins in with a new playful melody. The solo violin joins in again and there is a chordal cadence that signifies the start of a contrasting full classical strings section in the style of Dario Marianelli. There is a sudden brief appears of a hemiola rhythm (frequently used by minimalist composers such as Philip Glass) which gives a striking polytonal rhythmic effect to the 6/8 beat ending with a gentle, brief B Major resting chord on strings. There is some playful chordal interplay between the strings before the unexpected appearance of a gentle Brass synth playing a detached chordal motif. The music builds to a fortissimo climax with full orchestra and a dynamic tambourine comes into the foreground. The end has a sense of something dramatic happening after all the playfulness. Perhaps someone has fallen over while dancing?
