Haunting Winter Snow

Haunting Winter Snow

Close your eyes and let this gorgeous orchestral soundtrack captivate your imagination, with images of frozen snow settled on still pine branches, the chill winter air turning to crystals in the perfectly still air. This white Christmas atmospheric collage of textures and beauty paints the magic of a pristine winter, a Christmas Eve full of expectation, mystery, and wonder.

It is also reminiscent of haunting film and TV soundtracks that are often associated with crime, tension, mysteries, loss, and reflection. It is partly inspired by the beautiful James Newton Howard score to the film “The Village”, with the flowing solo violin arpeggios in the second half. I have also included a solo piano version, which works beautifully on its own, and sounds similar to piano maestros such as Nils Frahm or Dustin O’Halloran.

The full version includes solo violin, solo cello, a string section, celesta, harp, piano, glockenspiel, choir, percussion, and woodwinds. The solo cello evokes an icy suspenseful Game Of Thrones feeling.

The download includes 2 .wav files and 2 high quality mp3 files.

1. Full version, 1:58 long
2. Piano-only version, 1:58 long
