A beautifully moving cinematic orchestral piece that starts off slowly with sordino (muted) strings setting the mood, with soft piano and a xiao (a Chinese flute) hinting at the melodic themes that will be developed later in the piece.
The piano theme is often supported by orchestral elements that weave in and out until the fully developed melody is presented strongly by the full orchestra and the piano and xiao.
This piece would work great for many different dramatic cinematic situations that need a soft, quiet orchestral background that builds and develops over time.
