Classical Piano Music Pack 5

This is a classical piano music pack that consists of three romantic solo piano pieces.

Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy-Venetian Gondola Song Op.30 No.6

This Venetian Gondola Song is the sixth of Songs Without Words, Opus 30 by famous German composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Songs Without Words is a series of short lyrical piano pieces in eight books, each consisting of six songs. They were part of the Romantic tradition of writing short lyrical pieces for the piano. Although Song Without Words seems to be Felix Mendelssohn’s own invention. This Venetian Gondola Song is in the second book (Opus 30). Like all other Venetian Gondola Songs in other books, it has nice rhythmic arpeggios that depict the rocking motion of a boat and a beautiful romantic melody in F-sharp minor. This is one of the best piano pieces in Romantic Period.

Frederic Chopin-Mazurka Op.63 No.2

Mazurka in F minor, Opus 63 No. 2 is a romantic solo piano piece by famous Polish composer Frederic Chopin. The mazurka is a Polish folk dance in triple meter with strong accents unsystematically placed on the second or third beat. Several classical composers have written mazurkas, with the best known being the 69 composed by Chopin for solo piano. The stylistic and musical characteristics of Chopin’s mazurkas differ from the traditional variety because Chopin created a completely separate and new genre of mazurka all his own. He included chromaticism and harmony in the mazurkas, making them more technically interesting than the traditional dances. This Mazurka in F minor is the second of Opus 63 Mazurkas written in 1846. It is one of the most melancholic and moving Mazurkas.

Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy-Gondola Song in A major, WoO 10

Gondola Song in A major (WoO 10) is a romantic piano piece by German composer Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Mendelssohn wrote four Venetian Gondola Songs between 1830 and 1841. Three of them are parts of Songs Without Words, and they are famous. However, this gondola song is little-known. Although this one has the same rhythmic arpeggios that depict the rocking motion of a boat, it is remarkably different from the other gondola songs. This one is a bright piano piece with a positive setting.

All three pieces were played on a Steinway concert piano and recorded with a calm tempo to fit your projects perfectly. They are suitable for any of your projects needing soft solo piano music.
