This is a classical piano music pack that consists of three romantic piano pieces from various composers.
Robert Schumann-Of Foreign Lands and Peoples
Of Foreign Lands and Peoples is the first of thirteen pieces of Scenes from Childhood, Opus 15 by famous German composer Robert Schumann. Schumann wrote 30 movements for this work but chose 13 for the final version. Of Foreign Lands and Peoples is in G major. The style of this music is very much Schumann’s own, in that the textures are quite complex, and yet the melody line is clear. Although the piece is in 2-time, there are triplet rhythms on the left hand.
Erik Satie-Gnossienne No. 5
This is the fifth Gnossienne that was composed by the French composer Erik Satie in 1891. Although it was not titled as Gnossienne like the original three, it is known as Gnossienne No. 5. This is probably the first composition after the 1888 Gymnopedies and it is somewhat uncharacteristic of the other Gnossiennes not only its upbeat style, rhythms, and less exotic chordal structures, but also in its use of time signatures and bar divisions. It is in G Major key but like all of his other works, Satie used transpositions in repetitive sections.
Johannes Brahms-Waltz in D minor
This Waltz in D minor is the ninth piece of Sixteen Waltzes, Op. 39 by famous German composer Johannes Brahms. Sixteen Waltzes is a set of 16 short waltzes for piano that was composed in 1865. They were intended as a tribute to the waltz dance form which had become especially fashionable in Vienna. Originally written for piano four hands, they were also arranged for piano solo by the composer. This is the piano four hands version of the ninth waltz. The first half moves to the dominant key. Then the second half begins with a developmental passage that leads back to the tonic.
All three pieces were played on a Steinway concert piano and recorded with a calm and steady tempo to fit your projects perfectly. They are suitable for any of your projects needing soft solo piano music.
The pack includes the following tracks both in MP3 and Wav format:
