Suite Bergamasque Claire de Lune - Debussy

Suite Bergamasque Claire de Lune - Debussy

Claire de Lune is the third and most famous movement of Suite Bergamasque, meaning “moonlight” in French. The Suite bergamasque is one of the most famous piano works by Claude Debussy, not only because of the third and most famous movement Clair de lune but its rich and impressionistic qualities. This work represents an earlier piano style of Debussy, compared to others more mature works composed at the time, like Pour le piano suite or Reflets dans l’eau, first set of Images. Even so, the Suite bergamasque has a more natural fluidity and stylistic elegance, a combination of strength and delicacy in an almost neo-classical style.
