Circus March Entry of the Gladiators

Circus March Entry of the Gladiators

“Entrance of the Gladiators” op. 68 is a military march composed in 1897 by the Czech composer Julius Fučík. In 1901, American publisher Carl Fischer published a version of this march, arranged for American wind bands by Canadian composer Louis-Philippe Laurendeau, under the title “Thunder and Blazes.”[1] It was during this period that the song gained lasting popularity as a screamer march2 for circuses, often used to introduce clowns. Crazy, fun and positive music! Often used in circus performances, celebratory processions, cartoons, movies, web site,TV and video. For more versatility use I’ve added two versions: - Complete song with intro: (01:27) - Short version: (01:15)
