Stirring and emotional, this choir-based epic orchestral soundtrack combines elements of traditional requiem choral writing with a Renaissance Gregorian chant influence, coloured with gorgeous modern romantic string parts. Heavily inspired by modern film scoring techniques, this compelling theme is a perfect substitute for popular soundtracks like The Mission by Ennio Morricone (in particular “Gabriel’s Oboe”), or The Lion King soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Other cultural references suggested by this track are the Lord Of The Rings, Game Of Thrones, Gladiator, and the Forrest Gump suite by Alan Silvestri. Moving to the world of classical music, the emotions and slowness of this music are a good match for Samuel Barber’s wonderful Adagio For Strings, which has been featured in many films, most notably Platoon.
