The term ‘badinerie’ is used for certain instrumental works in fast tempos in duple meter time signature. It is best known for its designation as the final movement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor. It has become one of his most well-known and favorite pieces.
