A recording of the Baroque composer J.S.Bach’s classic dramatic organ work, “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (BWV 565)” played on a church organ for a spooky, haunting and tense organ work.
This item comes with the full recording of both the Toccata and Fugue together, but it also has audio files of them separated. In addition, there is a 4th audio file of the renowned opening of the Toccata on its own, often associated as the theme of the Transylvanian vampire, Count Dracula.
Related and heavily influential to other dramatic organ works, such as those found in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, and Hanz Zimmer’s score for Davy Jones as he plays the organ in “Pirates of the Caribbean 2”.
The work here was performed by Jonathan Michael Shaw (PRS CAE IPI 893784177)
