Awesome track pink zebra. I purchased a license for it and put it with a video that I uploaded to youtube as unlisted and a third party is claiming ownership. I disputed it with a copy of my envato license, but am concerned about two things:
1. Is some third party who isn’t affiliated with you claiming ownership over IP they don’t own? (The claim asserts the track is:”SS01E26”, sound recording administered by [Merlin] BecauseMusic)
2. Will these disputes occur every time I license a track from you? I love your stuff and plan on buying more in the future, but I can’t have my clients disputing alleged copyright violations. That just makes everyone look bad.

Hi mbeegle. Thanks for purchasing a license for “And So It Goes”.
BecauseMusic has no ownership over “And So It Goes.” This issue has come up 2 other times with this song and BecauseMusic (the last one 6 months ago). Each time the issue was resolved by simply disputing the claim through the YouTube protocols.
6 months ago I sent an email to BecauseMusic demanding an explanation but did not receive a response. Perhaps this is just a google bot problem with audio recognition? I have been to the BecauseMusic website and I don’t hear anything that sounds like my music over there.
You should not have any copyright issues AT ALL with licensing any of my tracks. It should be a completely hassle-free process and I find it very frustrating that you have had to deal with this issue at all, as it is clearly a mistake.
If you have any issue at all with disputing their claim please let me know and I will release the legal dogs on them.

Thanks for the quick response and good to know! I figured it was probably a google bot issue but wanted to check all the same. I know these flukes happen and have encountered them before. If I hear anything back from them, do you have an email address I can send any follow up documentation just so you have it in case you encounter this again down the line?
