“Waiting Arms” is an emotional singer songwriter/contemporary country/pop love ballad with a good rhythm and gorgeous male lead vocals. The drums don’t come in immediately, to allow the song to grow gently. The first chorus is more of a pause, and introduces the theme and the stirring backing vocals. As the song develops, the later choruses have more drive and each of them is larger than the previous.
