If you want to know a bit more about the behind the scenes dev work at Envato, (including how working on large scale projects is handled) check out We Build!
This nifty blog is written by our developers about their projects and provides a creative outlet for them to discuss their love of code. To find out more, head to We Build Envato and let us know what you think!
Good idea with this dev blog! Going to make a tea & read the posts, thanks!
If there are topics you are interested in that relate to how the website works, post them here, and the dev team will look at writing future articles on them.
We’re always happy to talk about how we do things
Most of the posts so far have been about what we think is interesting in our day to day work. A lot of other things we do we probably take for granted, but would be interesting to people outside of Envato.

Someone have to say it but
how about making a post explaining how the team decides is not the moment yet for the numerous improvements suggested by authors and buyers, like the small list that follows:
improved ratings with buyer review, improved search with meaningful options (a small example: search for a song of a certain length on audiojungle), item comment search, redesign the homepage to give better information and intelligent exposure to new or unknown but great items buried in the marketplace and many others fixes that I don’t remember now (someone want to add to the list? )
Said this, I enjoyed reading the blog and now I know how to rob an online casino, a skill that will be very interesting to have when the European Union will start taking huge parts of the money I have in the bank, (off course closing all the banks before telling me they decided to rob me, so I can’t have access to my money)
Keep up the good work and keep the marketplace running, put some pressure on the management to allow improvements on marketplace. We surely need them

made the post before seeing the team implemented the update item/mail buyers feature. That feature can still be polished but looks like things are unfreezing
Keep up the good work!
