It’s my company website. I used expression engine before, but its, just kinda messy. I want something intuitive, beautiful, and flexible.
Now I know there can be no definitive “best” CMS , but I want to hear your opinions. I am looking into using a new CMS on my new website. So fire away…
Hey, I am developing a web based task management application and I just wanted to get some feedback on what people are looking for in such an app. Its going to be much like things, or the hit list.
I won’t be submitting anything but I use mudbox for modeling.
Put a conditional statement in the js, to check if it is IE or not.
Just set up my new desk. It is looking pretty awesome. I’ll post pictures tomorrow.
I’ll be joining you soon! Hopefully. I need to get some of these items finished first!
A great article on the floating. Even me as a seasoned web designer learned a few new things.
I used to work supporting one of the largest IT infrastructures in the UK, and they used IE6 . The users did not have the choice to change their browser, they were restricted to what could be installed and updated on their computers. If an application had not been approved for use by the relevant department it was not allowed to be used. (IE8, Firefox etc.. had not been approved). You’ll probably find the 9-11% of people using IE6 are not doing it by choice.
I have also noticed a lot of internet kiosks using IE6 (In my local libraries for example), so again users do not have the option to upgrade the browser themselves.
Plus the amount of times windows prompts you to upgrade you’d think everyone who can upgrade has upgraded, so we can assume the last remaining few do not have the choice?Anyways, when the number of users drops below 3% I’ll then look at stopping support for it.
And why do they continue to support IE6 ? Cause if freaking works! Most websites have workarounds built to cater to IE6 ! If IE6 all of the sudden stopped working wouldn’t the IT department think about quickly upgrading? Yes, I think they would.
The first step in killing IE6 is to stop supporting it.
