2 years on VH and I still don’t have 200 sales … :/ what a problem …........ !!
It seems that you spent a lot of time working on this project, but unfortunately this kind of design is no longer popular (I mean the dark colors, and this king of BG …) + you made a mistake when you added a loooot of saturated colors in the intro (it doesn’t go with the rest of the scene)
Try to go with the flow (Flat design ) and never give up
Thanks, have a nice time
so happy for you man, my best wishes for you in the your next projects ,
hay, can you give me the secret behind your sales ?? I made only 100 sales in 14 months … ;/
or me I work for VH as a side job only .. in my free time
but you can really count on it, people here are making thousands of dollars per month just by spending some more time.. I know some ones on VH are making template for living..
any way, if you love designing, and being creative, you will enjoy, and you will learn more here.. and that’s it, it’s more about enjoying creativity
the thumbnail should be only 80×80px .. so don’t try to resize a larg image for your thumbnail.. take this example http://3.s3.envato.com/files/73261442/Simple-Logo-Reveal-Image-Thumbnail-After-Effects-Cartoon-CC-Template-Child-Kid-Christmas.jpg ... here the author made just a little frame to demonstrate the his template … don’t try to fit all the image preview in a “80px” thumbnail …
you can also make a single image preview, then scale it down a bit, to display a small frame as a thumbnail, like I did in my projectshttp://3.s3.envato.com/files/65183149/Thumbnail.jpg http://videohive.net/item/motion-ui-kit-/5476272?WT.ac=portfolio&WT.seg_1=portfolio&WT.z_author=Designer-Too
I understand your frustration…this commercial business can be a hard nut to crack… I often think of this quote from Ira Glass to get me through when I feel like giving up.. (some of my projects have been complete selling duds for a months work) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbC4gqZGPSY You’re on the right track…your last project has many great aspects to it..simplify perhaps..ask yourself with each scene how can it be more dynamic/clear and on the whole how is this project different or better than another competing style. Sometimes all it takes is a slight adjustment or a subtraction (clarification) to make a difference between a mediocre and good seller. For every dud we make, we at least learn not to do that again..
Thanks for the support dude, I liked the video.. “everybody goes through that”.. I’ll try to make better works, I can do it .. we all can do better, thanks a lot my friend …
