Oops, just realized the vote was supposed to be for “what threads should remain active”, but the one I linked to was already locked lol. Will try to think of an active thread to vote for!
Good times for sure
My vote for the greatest thread of all time:http://codecanyon.net/forums/thread/0011101000101001/14752
Makis77 saidFrom what I heard from TF staff before, this is not allowed. I’m not sure though…
From what i understand Envato Support policy is far from ready to be applied for both Authors and Buyers. For that reason I’m thinking to opt out from Support and provide Free Support like I did up until now.
I will place a banner saying “No need to pay extra for Support, its FREE” and I will provide support my way, with my own terms and not having to deal with crazy 1 star ratings.
Maybe this has already been answered but I’m also very curious about this. If we choose to opt-out of support, are we not allowed to answer any comments or emails? If so, this seems strange.
one more thing:
What is if an customer assumes the plugin is working this way but it doesn’t? I have many features and things going on and I wont put everything on the item detail page
Several interesting scenarios you’ve raised.
Selling a product is fairly black and white. You present a live demo along with a written description, and that sets the expectations for the product. So there’s very little room for interpretation. It either works as advertised or it doesn’t.
But when we sell a service such as support, no matter how clearly the word “support” is officially defined, expectations will always vary based on the customer’s personal experience/history as a general consumer.
So the ultimate answer to all of the challenges with the program is we need the ability to issue automatic refunds, and then we can just handle everything at our own discretion.
With regards to the proposed item page presentation (screenshots from blog post), we can’t assume every customer understands the word “support” in this context. As an example, the way it’s written now:
“XYZ author does not support this item”
.. can easily be misinterpreted as this:
“The author of this item no longer endorses this product”.
But it should be safe to assume everyone is familiar with the phrase “customer support”. So the rewrites could be:
“6 months of Customer Support included”
“Customer Support NOT available for this item”
http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/14/technology/flash-firefox-facebook/index.html?iid=TL_Popular epic fail I still love flash…
From the article:
“The good news for Firefox users is that most won’t notice a change. Just under 11% of websites use Flash”.
A pretty big number considering the lengths we often go to in order to accommodate the same numbers for legacy IE.
I haven’t built with Flash in a while, but it seems there should have been some type of “click-to-flash” functionality built-in, where a dev could add a pretty preview image for his/her game, etc., and then you just replace the preview image with a Flash Object when the preview is clicked, and problem solved. Then the browser may still giver you a prompt on-click, but at least you can avoid the initial “lego-of-death” which is probably destroying the look of tons of websites right now.
Man, the way DeAndre handled the whole situation was so childish. I was definitely a fan of him and the Clippers before this…now not so much.
Yeah I feel really bad for Dallas, because they completely lost their window to execute plan B. Honestly I’m not sure why there’s this 10 day gap between when you can talk and when you can sign. Sounds like a rule agents lobbied for to make sure their clients aren’t pressured into signing at 12:01. But that’s exactly what happened anyway.
But I’ll be rooting for the Clippers again next season!
I don’t know why De Andre choosed DAL as LAC looks like contender next season if he stay, now LAC looks terrible without Center.
Agree. I guess he thinks he can be an All-Star playing somewhere else, but the truth is, there hasn’t really been a guy who made the All Star team based purely on rebounding and defense since Dennis Rodman. And Rodman only made two all star teams even though he was 7x rebounding champ, and 7x all-defense 1st team.
Josh Smith to the Kings would be fun. Pair him with Rondo and Boogie Cousins and George Karl will certainly have his hands full
hey man i guess it’s official Lamarcus Aldridge Tweet
Great choice. Feel bad for Portland fans, as 4/5 previous starters are now gone, but I guess Lillard is a good piece to build around.
DJ to Dallas is nice, but who’s going to through in lobs? Too bad Rondo didn’t work out there. I remember when Shaq was on the Celtics, Rondo got him tons of easy dunks that year.
And speaking of Rondo, I hope things work out for him in Sacramento. I think George Karl is the perfect coach to help resurrect his career.
