JFYK – you don’t have to be exclusive to get an item featured.
You can’t sell versions of your exclusive tracks.
Banks take a fee of approximately $20 when you receive a SWIFT transfer, that’s normal. I just don’t understand what is the $35 fee that Envato takes.
Kudos! Where’s this author’s hall of fame anyway?
YouTube Content ID Administration Team demanded from AdRev to terminate my account and remove my songs from the system due to YouTube policy that doesn’t allow certain types of music, including creative commons and non-exclusive royalty free music, As it turns out here, music licensed without exclusivity, i.e. to multiple licensees, does not qualify for content ID.
Let’s read forum rules before posting your Funk/Groove tracks.
Self promotion is not allowed on the Envato Market forums.
We consider the following to be self promotion:
posting links to your own items anywhere on the site
If you’d like to post a link to your item to get feedback or discussion on how to improve it, it must be posted in the “Item Discussion” section of the forums.
Here you go: [link removed]
You can’t give away your music if you’re exclusive. Send them to buy a license, it’s only $18 FFS!
I then have to go through the process of disputing the claim, putting my YouTube account at risk
What risk are you talking about? AdRev make no claims, they only send you a notification that your video may content unlicensed music and put ads on the video until you prove that you do have rights to use the music. All you have to do is making a few clicks to send a dispute, what’s the big deal?
