Ted Skolits Music
A heart of passion and desire flows from composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Ted Skolits. Rich scores, melodic movements, percussive hits, cheerful swells, energetic strings, anthematic brass, cinematic textures, inspirational hooks, driving progressions, are just a few ways to describe his musical pieces. Ted is a multi-instrumentalist that plays Piano, Cello, Guitar, Bass, and Percussion. These instruments commonly showed up acoustically performed in the compositions. Studying classic music theory and harmony, in combination with modern midi sequencing and deep library sampling programming, Ted offers the best of both worlds in his compositions. Ted began his music career at a young age, performing in theater, vocal ensembles, orchestral ensembles, honors ensembles and jazz band. At the age of 15 Ted was composing scores, jingles, and arrangements for fellow students, independant commercials, independent films for film competitions, and local ad spots. From there Ted honed in on his craft and was given an opportunity to score music for his first AAA game title EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010. He also has experience working for major industry music labels, and attended tracking sessions in high end recording facilities. Whether the music need is original, classic, edgy, traditional, cinematic, big band, dramatic, or adventurous, Ted seems to conquer the need with adding his own fingerprint. Ted is a current member ASCAP music publishing, and his music is available for licensing. He currently works part time as a Course Director at Valencia College teaching Digital Audio Workstations in the Music Production & Sound Technology Program.
