Jo is a professionally qualified graphic designer, who has been involved in the design industry for over 20 years. She has worked as an art editor, designing magazines and commissioning photography and illustration for London publishing houses, B.B.C and Haymarket, Jo also designed the very first Big Issue magazine along with I.O.P art director, Andy Giaquinto.

Jo now runs her own web design company Spiral Pixel Design, specializing in providing W3C compliant bespoke web design and is also responsible for the design and maintenance of all commissioned websites and clients.

She is also the proud owner of a successful design blog, Jo’s Web, where graphics and lots of creative goodies are offered for free. Her photoshop brushes have been featured in Computer Arts and Imagine FX magazines, more recently her designs were used in ‘Vintage’, a design resource book by Angela Patchell Publishing and also a Japanese publication, Photoshop Design Tools.

Jo has also produced illustration work for editorial magazines, such as General Practitioner, specializing in the medium of pen and ink. In her pastime she enjoys the art of pyrography, you can view some of her work at Firestarter Pyrography.
