Who Am I?
“One song can trigger a thought, which can change a person, who can change the world. So I want to change the world too, one song at a time.” – Amy Labordus (2009)
My name is Amy and I am a 20-year old composer from Perth. I have been writing songs for 9 years and with age, they continue to get better!
I am a piano teacher (Accredited Simply Music Teacher) and I also conduct part of the Australian Youth Choir. My real aim though, is to be a well-known composer all around the world. I want to write musicals and film scores or songs for artists or even just for my friends to dance to. I want to help people through music.
I have discovered the best way to write is from experience – that being said, I have been asked to write many different songs and have found that with enough information I can write exactly what has been asked for. I love any ballads – particularly those that speak from the heart. It is the style that I tend to write in, since pianos are fantastic for those sad, slow songs
I hope you enjoy my music. God bless.
