An astonishing collection, good bargain. Could you please tell me in what program you made this tracks? thanks.

BlueFoxMusic

Thanks again! :) I use Pro Tools HD to record and mix all my tracks. It’s what I’m most familiar with after using it for the past 7 years or so.

Do you record all the sounds yourself?? how?

BlueFoxMusic

It’s a mix of instruments I’ve recorded and played myself such as all electric and acoustic guitars, ukulele, bass, vocals etc blended with virtual synths (for pianos, electronic sounds…) which I’ve programmed the melodies and chords for in Pro Tools. Other than that, my 10 years of recording experience certainly helps more than the gear these days.

oddly similar to DJ Mash, DJ Auerbach – In The Night

Yeah, I’ve heard that sample in a few tracks now. It’s a royalty free one from a sample library so no doubt there’s thousands of tracks incorporating it! ;) Good spot!

Ok thank you for the precision :)

Hi, I really like your music. License-wise can I use it on youtube and my website for commercial use?

Also if I buy a music track can I use it again and again?

Thanks

BlueFoxMusic

Hi there! Thanks for getting in touch and I’m glad you like the music :) Sure, you can use the tracks on Youtube and your website. You would just require the regular licence for that purpose.

The only time you can reuse a track again and again is if the end product is part of a series (such as on a Youtube channel). For example, if your videos were all about trains then you’re covered and the 1 licence would suffice. However, if you then produced another video about football then it wouldn’t be related or regarded as a series. In this case you’d need to purchase another licence.

For more details on the licence agreement, here’s a link http://audiojungle.net/licenses/regular

If you’d like more info then please don’t hesitate to ask.

Ok, great. What about the extended license – what is that for?

BlueFoxMusic

The extended licence is required for any end product that is to be sold such as a DVD, video game, movie…

One good thing is that If you are looking to monetize your Youtube videos this will be covered by just the regular licence.

Oh, so are you saying that using the music for commercial means whether on your website (youtube video embedded in website) or on a DVD sold to a client – this is not covered by the regular license?

BlueFoxMusic

A Youtube video imbedded in a website would only require a regular licence whether or not it’s for commercial means. Even a national TV advertisement would only require a regular licence to use a track as its not part of a sold end product, just a means to to advertise that product.

From what you’ve told me (licensing for Youtube and website for commercial use) you would just need to purchase the regular licence. A DVD sold to a client would require the extended licence though.

Ok thanks. What about giving a client a movie for their ipod/ iphone that had your music in it? I take it that would require an extended license?

BlueFoxMusic

That will also be covered by the regular license too if you’re giving the movie files to the client. Is it to be used as a promotional tool/presentation? Unless the client will directly be paying for the product that included the audio file then the regular license has you covered.
