A dark, crescendo cinematic track, with a constant pulsating, almost wobble bass and dramatic atmospheric moods created with strings and layers and distorted pads. There is a softer, melodic part towards the end, which might suggest a bit of hope within all the darkness, but without affecting the overall mood of the piece.
The machine like sound of the bass can suggest a force that eats up our planet resources, be it consumerism, senseless industrial ventures or, as suggested by the title, overpopulation. The music is suitable for documentaries or any type of visuals depicting a world dependent on limited resources, that slowly eats itself away, existing in an isolated and unsustainable system. The dramatic tones are great for underlining sad, tragic subjects like natural disasters (tsunami, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc), disease and other medical issues, as well more intimate dramas.
There is also an epic aspect to this track, making it suitable as a hero’s theme, for action/adventures films or games or futuristic science fiction movies. However, it’s not your typical Hollywood score, it is something darker and more serious than that.
