She rose from the darkness like a rose that grew from concrete—stronger and more eternal than Tupac Shakur even. Long and slender in stature, with a girth of character that merged so well with her charisma that you could get engulfed in her depth and not even know that you were submerged. Enchanting in her feminine audacity and tenacious in her masculinity, she stops shining for no man. She exists every where there is light. “Death be to darkness” is her stance and she’d have it that there were a smile on the face of every man, woman and child. This is the soundtrack to her story. In Ki-Swahili the word “Nia” means purpose. If there were a story of purpose, we think this is what it sound like. Purposeful indeed. Spontaneous, exhausted in its full breadth of expression and riding the entire spectrum and rhythm of gentle and inspiring movement as we know it.
This is story telling music… Great for typographic videos that show the birth of an idea, or illustrations and images that challenge people to think in ways that honor new thought.
