The melodica, the little hand-held keyboard wind instrument you may have played as a kid in music class, is also heard in popular music. Nicknamed the “hooter,” it was used in the theme to “The Office” (US version). It even had a band named for it—the Hooters from Philadelphia. Here it’s featured along with mandolin, guitars, piano and drums, to create a big classic rock and roll instrumental with some Springsteen elements and an acoustic breakdown in the middle.
