Hi,
Is it why I can’t upload now my HTML to the Site Templates category? On the file upload page I see now four fields under Step 2 (Files):- Thumbnail
- Theme Preview
- Main File(s)
- WordPress Theme
I can’t sumbit my HTML files because it requests to upload WordPress Theme. Can you fix it?
Thanks,
Igor Ligay

Have you tried including the WordPress Theme?

WordPress Theme is optional. You do not have to include a WordPress ZIP file.

..... users will also be able to 1 click update/install their themes directly from ThemeForest (they’ll just need their license key to authenticate the purchase).
That’s cool, it should also solve the “broken theme” issue once and for all.

!
Thanks Envato Devs !

themolitor saidNo it doesn’t have to point to the Themeforest item URI , version number is the only critical attribute that is required for the update service to work correctly.
Awesome. Does the “Theme URI ” need to link to the item page for this new feature to work?
How does it work then exactly?

mordauk saidYes plugins are in the project pipeline, once we’ve got themes up and running smoothly we’ll schedule in plugins.
Will this be rolled out for for WordPress plugins on Code Canyon anytime soon as well?
Excellent!

That sounds great Jason!
One question: could you guys write the plugin in a way that we can easily implement it directly into our themes so the user doesn’t have to install a plugin?

This guy never just says +1
Would be nice for a structure like this:
EnvatoUpdater.php
and add a small line of code to functions.php.
