To be funny please look at Orman Clark wordpress theme “permium” features? Where are they? And he sells good, so chill :)) It’s more about how the website looks than what it can do.

Glad you like our feature and have a discussion here.

We started theme making with an idea that design is do all. Our first theme was so “design-look” and have no features at all. It sells not bad though. Then we tried to add some features and our second theme sells better. We worked hard to create Clockstone over a 4 months. We had many briefs and market researches ;). So it shoots well (but not SUPER as we expected considering sales of Clockstone HTML :)) and we have earned our record revenue.

We create our next theme in minimal design but with a lot of options and features to try repeat the success of some other authors. But despite all this tons of features this theme have very low sales.

Now we understand that to be succesful author you need to find balance between uniqueness and functionality. Uniqueness can sell things, but if customers indifferent to how theme looks they wont buy it only for functionality.

Now we more experienced and working to create some new balanced theme

Sorry for my english ;)

Yeah, I had purchased Redux expecting a load of features and easy installation (not for a client, for myself) and I was very surprised.

Personally, I don’t mind modifying themes to suit my clients needs; Because I’m not LAZY , and I’m not trying to be some douchebag making tons of money off of someone ELSES hard work.

Tonvie, I get your point – you want to see more features, and I would too, but not until they make the themes priced fairly instead of: ”$25 or $32!? ROLL THE DICE !!!”

I’m just saying that any respectable developer would be willing to put the time into customizing it to have a happy client, rather than a client going “Hm, what did I pay this guy for?” when he finds the theme you used.

I know the theme and i still can say that he is good as a designer not a coder.
