for an idea only, i really wish there’s a much better way to transfer big files between PCs and MACs.
I’m not sure what you mean, you can transfer “big” files from pc to mac using a dvd, usb drive, or you can use online storage as well. I don’t get your idea.

I have tried e-texteditor, notepad++, and netbeans. I really want a text editor with a clean UI and lots of features. UltraEdit32 might have those features, but you have to agree, the UI is just crap.
For web dev try Aptana – maybe you’ll like it
All those text editors for windows look so old. Remember, us developers have to look at that text editor the whole day, it would at lease be nice if they had a good looking interface.
All the text editors available for the mac have gorgeous interfaces, why can’t we have them?

@RikdeVos I agree with you, and I must say that’s the reason I decided to move from windows to os x.

Nothing about that interface screams “gorgeous”. Hell it, looks as plain 9and functional) as any run of the mill Windows app out there.
I use a combination of tools:
Eclipse: Java
Dreamweaver: PHP
Visual Studio 2010: C#/.NET
Notepad++ for simple jobs or edits

I agree, very minimalistic, nothing super sleek to me.

I have no idea what kind of applications the market place would be looking for when it comes to direct apps either Windows and/or Mac and/or LinuxOK, so after a few hours in Photoshop, I’ve come up with something.
View at full size to avoid aliasing.
Of course it isn’t finished yet. This is just the coding window, I’m going to add a file explorer window at the left or right, much like Textmate. I’m also going to create a snippet window, where you can manage your snippets, and maybe some kind of publish window where you can upload all the files to your web server using ftp.
I want it to be as simple as possible. No unneccesarry icons and windows, so no debugger, error log or whatsoever. I don’t know yet what I’m going to do at the top of the window. Personally, I don’t really like the dropdowns that Windows 7 has for its windows.
So what do you guys think about this interface so far? Feedback is appreciated
Please note that this is not a real project for me, as I’m not smart enough to code this into a real application
It’s pretty much the same as espresso
Completely forgot about these windows apps:
http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/
and
http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/web_overview.aspx
I’ve used webmatrix to do some html/css editing and it has a gorgeous interface, expression web not so much but is very powerful wysiwyg editor.

I just saw Microsoft WebMatrix… and WOW ! Bravo Microsoft! Finally a great text editor for Windows…
I know “Notepad++” bla bla bla… But for me it lacks that slick design… and WebMatrix has it!
