Ok, so I just finished writing about 15 minutes worth of music for a documentary I got contracted for. I always tell my clients that the music I license them to use may show up on stock music websites, so I’m not doing anything they aren’t aware of.

I’m just curious to get the community’s input on this. Is it worth trying to upload, or do custom designed soundtracks usually do poorly due to their propriety with the source material?

These sound great! Id’ say they have a pretty good chance on the market place. The first piece move so well, I can see it in a doc so easily.

Only the Beginning is wonderful. This is the type of music I love.

I think one of the problems with this type of music on AJ is that we are asking for the video to be cut to the music when it normally is the other way around. So, if someone has vision that can be tweaked or your music inspires such vision then you are away, otherwise it may have limited potential.

I notice in this genre that fast and furious with storm drums and choir seems to be the norm. I guess a piece with few highs and lows is easier to fit.

I hope I am wrong in your case as you surely deserve sales for such a fine effort.

True true, although sometimes we’re lucky enough that producers are just looking for a certain feel and not something to hit perfectly with their video (rare I suppose). If anything it’s an awesome skill demonstration to have in your portfolio :) Scoring to picture is a tricky business! Hi! Really great orchestral tracks! I love all the harmonies and textures. Great use of VSTs. Congrats!
